In more than 1,000 m2, it is presented in an interactive way how today monumental clocks continue to be manufactured for public buildings, schools, parks and gardens, as well as, in a 2nd stage, various ways of measuring time are exhibited, some of them very old. such as water clocks, sundials, fire clocks, sand clocks, pocket clocks, even quartz clocks.
During your visit to the Centenario Clocks factory and its Clock Museum, you will be able to appreciate the creativity and the technical and aesthetic qualities of these measuring instruments. Also on display is an emotional reconstruction of his workshop, a small audiovisual and an interesting biographical mural.
The “Alberto Olvera Hernández” Museum pays a special tribute to the Pioneer of Monumental Watchmaking in Latin America, “Don Alberto Olvera Hernández”, who self-taughtly dedicated his valuable time to transcend as a businessman and founder of Relojes Centenario, as well as a favorite son from Zacatlán.
